Easy Chicken Tikka Masala with Chaokoh Coconut Milk

Want to make a tasty curry at home? This Chicken Tikka Masala is creamy, rich and full of flavour. Made with Chaokoh Coconut Milk 165ML, it’s easy enough for anyone to cook—even kids with a little help! Perfect for a family dinner and packed with World Food Shop favourites.

Ingredients:

  • 2 chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose seasoning
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 200ml tomato passata or chopped tomatoes
  • 165ml Chaokoh Coconut Milk 165ML
  • 2 tbsp plain yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Fresh coriander, for garnish
  • Cooked basmati rice or naan bread, to serve

Method:

  1. Season the Chicken: In a bowl, mix the chicken with Dunns River All Purpose Seasoning. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Cook the Base: Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until soft. Add garlic paste and ginger paste. Cook for 1–2 minutes.
  3. Add Spices: Stir in garam masala and turmeric. Mix well.
  4. Add Chicken: Add the chicken pieces and cook for 5–6 minutes until browned.
  5. Make the Sauce: Pour in tomato passata and simmer for 5 minutes. Add Chaokoh Coconut Milk and yoghurt. Stir and simmer for another 10 minutes until the sauce is creamy and the chicken is cooked through.
  6. Serve: Sprinkle with fresh coriander and serve hot with rice or naan.
